Time to Relive the Awesomeness that is Oprah!!!

Hey ladies.... to celebrate Twilight Junkies Anonymous one year anniversary let's take a look at our posts that relive the epic awesomeness that were our Oprah adventures.
~Kassie

I have actually been been blessed by Oprah twice this year.  Back in November I was lucky enough to get the call from the Oprah show to attend the Stephenie Meyer interview show.

Eclipse’ Engagement Ring Details Revealed!

From People:
Kimberley French/Summit
Talk about eternity in the making! The engagement ring given to Bella by Edward in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, was a true labor of love, reports InStyle.com, requiring a prop master, five different jewelers, several samples and a multitude of research to finally get the glittering piece to perfection–and up to author Stephenie Meyer’s liking. The task of designing the antique engagement ring–described by Meyer in her Eclipse novel as a delicate piece “set with slanting rows of glittering round stones”–fell on prop master Grant Swain, who tirelessly researched Victorian-era jewelry before calling in samples and hiring four different designers to create various prototypes of the ring. But to no avail: Meyer, unimpressed with the model baubles, took it upon herself to draw up a rough sketch of the ring as she had envisioned it. The illustration was sent to Portland-based jeweler Rick Thurber, who used a computerized image of the drawing to create the end result — a stunning pave-diamond ring that was rushed to the set just hours before filming of the pivotal scene began! To get more details about this story, check out InStyle.com, where you can also see how experts envision Bella and Edward’s wedding day. –David Yi

* Note from Marie - that ring is WAYYYYY bigger than mine! Just sayin.....

Post-Oprah Post

Yesterday was crazy, right???  I was completely overstimulated with all the Oprah stuff, Rob birthday stuff, new Eclipse stuff.......whew!  And RL was just getting in my way and not letting me get on here.

So, what did you all think of the show?  Like I have to ask! LOL  Kassie did an awesome post about the Oprah show and the transcript.  I'm impressed.  And now it's my turn to chime in.

First, there were a few little things that were edited out of the final show.
1) There is a little bit more to the segment where Kristen talks about her cat.  I'm pretty sure that she said her cat's name is Max, but she calls him something else, which I can't remember.
2) When Kristen is talking about how she calls Dakota for advice, she actually had a cute little pet name for Dakota.(again, I cannot remember.....Kassie? Victoria? Kristen?  Help!!!)

Then there were actually complete segments that were left out.  I found this one on YouTube.  In this segment that did not make the final cut (here in Chicago, at least), Rob talks about one of his favorite authors who was on Oprah's book club list.  Even this YouTube video does not show at the end when Oprah is like, "Are you giving this to me?" and Rob is like (confused) "Yeah, okay" . I don't think he was planning on giving her the book. LOL
Here is another segment that did not make the final cut. Oprah is asking Rob if playing Edward is limiting.  This is also the segment where Rob mentions that he is getting ready to start filming Water for Elephants (woohoo!) but that is cut from this video. :(

UPDATE
Kassie just sent me the video from YouTube where Rob mentions Water For Elephants!!! Yay!  Here it is.....

I absolutely love this backstage segment of Rob, Kristen and Taylor.  I love Kristen getting ready to rip Rob's shirt off.  You GO girl!!!!
Which brings me to the whole Robsten thing.  Okay, when I see Rob and Kristen look at each other, I see something there.  I really do.  There is a spark.  I tried to do some screen caps of them looking at each other in a really adoring freaking way.  I don't know if they will come across in stills, but I see it on the video.

This is when Kristen was talking to Oprah (right at the beginning of the show) but for a split second, she eyes Rob.....and that's what I tried to capture here.
Look how Rob is looking at Kristen when she is talking.....it is so sweet!!!!!
More AWWWWWW!!!!!!
This picture just gives me goosebumps remembering that moment when Oprah announced them and Rob came walking out first and we just screamed our heads off.  I had to capture that moment. ;)
And here is my screen cap of our shining moment.......
I kind of reminds me of that moment in Monsters, Inc., when Mike looks like this on the TV commercial....

but he's like...."I WAS ON T.V.!!!!! DID YA SEE? DID YA SEE ME?".

I'm still in shock that we were there.  Watching it on T.V. now is just surreal. It's like an out of body experience.

Well, Rob....until we meet again.....

Today is the BIG Day!!!

Ok I'm going to say

HAPPY MUTHA FREAKIN' BIRTHDAY ROB!!!!! (Like my mad photo shopping skillz?)

Ok now to the OPRAH SHOW YAY!!!

It was like reliving a dream today. I can't express to you how I felt about watching this episode of Oprah after being there. I forgot how funny they are. They didn't do too much editing to my recollection; this interview is close to the same as what they said exactly during the live taping(Marie will let us all know if I missed anything after she watches it later today, see this is why I dont work lol).

1) After Rob said Kristen is pregnant, she says but he's having the baby.. Kristen offers that Oprah should be the one to hook up with Rob but they cut that part out.
2) Kristen also says her cat's name but they cut that out (damn for the life of me I can't remember it).
3) BIG one... they go from the part of the interview with Dakota to a commercial break and when they come back it's just the three of them again. This is when Taylor talks about not smoking or drinking because of his good family *awwww* and the type of girl he is looking for someone loyal, funny, can just be themself and "Must enjoy beef patties" Rob he's so hilarious!!!

OK OUR CLAIM TO FAME!!!!!!! When the little girl from the Carribean gets up because she is a fan of Kristen/Bella the green shirt on the left of the screen is Victoria, the pink shirt next to her in the middle is Marie, and on the right the purple shirt w/ black sleeve and the arm that keeps moving is ME!!!! YAY WE WERE ON TV.

I know the picture quality sucks but thats what you get for using good old fashion VHS! No DVR for this girl.

(side note: sorry Kristen they didn't get you that time) Just before one of the commercial breaks they scan the audience in our section but we were really tiny looking :(

Woot woot!!! Girls that was so much fun reliving that experience and I hope you enjoyed our stories of our time at the taping and living it vicariously through us.

PS: I totally heard myself screaming like an idiot and I don't care who knows it :)

Have a great "Happy Birthday Robert Pattinson" day!!!!!! Have a drink for Rob, he would want his birthday celebrated that way!!!!!

-Kassie

PPS: Look for Marie's post later and look for my transcript of the whole episode. This will take some time pausing and replaying the episode but I will do it for you all to enjoy, thank goodness I'm a fast typer!

Rob and Kristen Confirm They're Dating - To Oprah

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Twilight, Eclipse
From E! Online
by

Oh Robsten, don't you know we have eyes everywhere?
Robert PattinsonKristen StewartDakota Fanning, and Taylor Lautner all taped an episode for The Oprah Winfrey Show earlier this week, to air May 13.
While some fans were treated to a special screening of Eclipse, the good stuff happened with the cameras weren't rolling.
Like when Rob and Kristen confirmed to Oprah backstage they are in fact dating:
"We were all briefed before the show how to handle the talent," says our source who works for the Big O. "Part of what we were told was that Rob and Kristen are dating."
Come again?
So here's how it went down:
Apparently, before Robsten and the gang went to tape the segment, they went over with Oprah what she was going to ask. O said she had to "go there" and gave Rob and Kristen the heads-up she was going to ask the big dating question.
Robsten and their people obviously said they wouldn't straight-up answer, no surprise there, so Rob, Kristen and Oprah came to a little agreement.
When asked, Rob and Kristen could totally give the coy nonanswer answer (Rob joked Kristen was pregnant, Kristen joked Rob was having the baby), and O wouldn't press it too hard on air.
On one condition—she wanted to know what was really happening.
Dishes our Oprah spy:
"Obviously Oprah had to ask something during the taping, but agreed beforehand she wouldn't be too hard on [Rob and Kristen] if they told her what was really going on. Both Rob and Kristen's people and Summit then confirmed ahead of time [Rob and Kristen] are together and are dating. One hundred percent."
At least O knows how to get it out of them somehow! And really, are you going to lie to Oprah? No way!
So that's the little agreement our fave couple settled on. They could get away with the deflected joking answer, but Oprah (and her crew) needed to know what was really up with them.
As for how the Twilight couple interacted behind the scenes? Let's just say it certainly wasn't as tense as it was in Vancouver!
"They weren't superaffectionate or anything," says our source, who was with Rob, Kristen and the cast the entire time they were at the show.
"Kristen seemed a little awkward and nervous, but Rob didn't at all. He was really friendly and was cracking jokes the entire time."
So is the confirmation to Oprah enough for you Nonsten's that Rob and Kristen (who arrived back in L.A. together this week, too) are still happily together? Of course not, didn't think so.
But for your entertainment, then, you can check out this twitter of an eyewitness who saw Robsten kissing and cuddling in the airport as they left Chicago together.
You know, just for giggles.

What do you guys think?  I would LOVE to believe it because I am totally PRO-ROBSTEN.  I do think Oprah can pretty much get whatever info she wants out of anybody, sooooo.........
Opinions?  Anyone?  Oh, I know you chicks will have something to say! Let's hear it!

Odds and Ends Eclipse/Oprah Post

Going back to reality really kicked my ass today!  I could not wrap my head around anything.  My class was on the OPPOSITE of their best behavior.  Anyway, here are some odds and ends that didn't make it into the post last night because my stupid computer and scanner are slow as hell when I want them to hurry up.  And I was wiped out!

My ticket from Eclipse....squeeeeee!

My certificate for my Limited Edition Bella's Engagement Ring
I have no idea what my ring size is, so I have to get to Wal-Mart or somewhere with a jewelry department to I can use their ring sizer. LOL!
Really awesome poster that some Burger King people were giving out in front of Harpo when we came out of the show....I heard someone say that Oprah wouldn't give them out herself.  Just happy to have it!  Also got the crown too.

All I could think about today was all things related to Eclipse/Oprah. So while my brain was on a Twilight vacation today, little bits and pieces from the last 2 days started coming back to me.

From Eclipse: (Spoilers.....you've been warned!)
♥ You will love Rosalie when she comes after Royce in her wedding dress with her red eyes and maniacal look on her face.
♥ Edward and Bella look friggin adorable in those ugly yellow caps and gowns. For Bella it might have something to do with the fact that her wig is hidden.  For Edward, it might just be because he is effing gorgeous....ALWAYS!
♥ The party is in the movie, but seemed really short to me, compared to the book.
♥ Seth is the CUTEST wolf ever!!!!! (Sorry Jacob!)

From Oprah:
♥ Oprah says something to Kristen about how shy she is, and then gets up and goes and gives her a hug.  It was really cute.
♥ Oprah mentioned that Rob was named one of Time's 100 Most Influential People and People's Most Beautiful.  She asked Rob which meant more to him and he said the Most Beautiful! LOL  Then Rob mentioned that he beat Barack Obama for the most influential and also he liked the blurb that Chris Wietz wrote about him.

Anyway, just a few more things that started coming back to me when the shock began to wear off.  Set your DVR's for Oprah on Thursday, May 13th!!!!
♥ Look for us!!!!!

Open Letter to Mr. Robert Pattinson

Dear Rob,

May I call you Rob? I really hope that is okay with you considering we had a connection earlier today that I would call life changing. I am into the Twilight Saga and you make the movies worth watching with your portrayal of Edward Cullen. Now I have been a Team Emmett person ever since I saw the wonderful Kellan Lutz playing Emmett Cullen and hitting it out of the ball park (I hope that’s not too American for you, j/k) with the few scenes he had in the first installment of the film series. While I love Kellan Lutz and his character Emmett; I think you have changed me. Dare I say I am now totally Team Edward?

You were at Oprah bright and early this morning (May 5, 2010), just like my friends and I were. The whole taping was a blur and I was wondering the whole time what I could do to get your attention; without getting myself arrested so flashing you was out of the question. From the moment you walked out onto the stage I was screaming at the top of my lungs, so if you heard one high pitched scream above all the others; it was most likely me. During your interview any time you, Taylor or Kristen looked in my general direction (which was front row of the balcony/behind Oprah on the right of her; from your point of view that is) I fidgeted with my hair or my shirt or just generally made an ass out of myself so any of you would look at me. I think it might have worked, Taylor might have seen me twice and Kristen once… but they were not exactly the people I wanted to notice me. Kristen is a girl so I’m not interested in her and Taylor, while very good looking, is just a bit too young for me. I’m only 24 and so you and I don’t have a large age gap between us. You will be turning 24 on May 13 and I will be turning 25 on May 25. So age isn’t really a problem. Oh have I mentioned you are really hot. I was nearly tongue tied when I saw you but I have the ability to make an ass out of myself when a hot guy is near and my brain never stops my mouth from speaking.

All of this was to get to the grand finale. When you were leaving the set; walking out with Oprah, Taylor, Kristen and Dakota; I was the moron that screamed ROB, really REALLY loudly if I do say so myself. My friends can confirm that I was screaming really loud, and was also waving wildly like a maniac. I was wearing the purple and black shirt. You looked up with somewhat of a bewildered look on your face, but then politely smiled and waved. God damn you are really hot and so freaking polite, you could have just ignored my moronic ass but you didn’t. My friends were with me including Kristen in pink she got us the invite to Oprah, Marie also in pink who is so wonderfully relaying you this through her blog and Victoria in green. My friends and I were all so excited you looked in our general direction and waved. Did I mention you are really polite and very hot? Because you are, so very hot!

I would really like to end this letter to you by stating that I am now 100% Team Edward and 100% Team Rob. I think you have done some really great work with your character in Twilight and did an extremely wonderful job in Eclipse, which as you know the Oprah audience was able to see the night before the taping, when you were out crashing people’s houses around Illinois. If you want to come crash at my house in Illinois anytime it’s an open invitation to you and I will have my house stocked with as much Heineken and Cigarettes you could want. I swear if you want to hide out get in touch with me and I will keep you hidden for a few weeks in seclusion in the middle of the suburbs.

So I just wanted to say, Rob thank you for being so wonderful to your crazy ass fans, which includes me!!!

Sincerely,
Kassie

(Note from Marie - OMG Kassie!  That is the best effing letter I've ever read!!!!!  I'm still lmao!   Thank you for sharing that with us!  You are awesome writer!)

Seeing Eclipse and Rob - All Within 24 Hours!!!!! O....M.....E!!!!!! Part 2

Whew! That last post was....um....LONG!  As I was typing away, I realized that I  needed to divide this into 2 posts.  So this post is going to be about our Adventures at the Oprah show.

The adventure started this morning when I had to set the alarm for 3:50 a.m. (shit, I better remember to fix that!!!!) to get get ready to go.  Things were going along great, until I ripped the sleeve of my brand new Twilight shirt.  Luckily I'm pretty handy with the needle and thread, but that just threw me into a tailspin, because now I'm running late.

We got down there a little after six and we got in line.  Of course, there are no bathrooms in the line for Oprah....so now WTF are you supposed to do???  I had to walk over to Subway and buy a stupid bag of chips just to the bathroom.  Seriously.  Maybe Oprah has some deal with them, because everywhere I went had signs that said bathrooms for customers only.  Subway was the one place I could use the bathroom and spend the least amount of money. Anyway, I made it back to the line, just in the nick of time before we went in.  Whew!

In the waiting room, we waited, very impatiently, for and hour and a half.  That was torture, I tell you!  Torture.  We were sitting across for one of the groups of lucky girls that Rob paid a visit to last night, and they showed us their picture with Rob.  They told them that they were going to be Skyped into the show and that they were coming to their house to set up, and then they showed up with Rob!  The killer part is my sister Barb got a call on Monday about the Skype thing and if they picked her, she would need to be available Tuesday night.  So she was in the running!!!! So close!!!!!!  I really think, judging by the girls that were picked, that they were really looking for the 14 year old group.

Anyway, when they called our numbers, we actually got pretty good seats!  Not down in the very front, but in the stadium farthest on the right facing the stage. So we were like, 30 feet away from Rob maybe.  When Rob, Kristen and Taylor came out, the audience lost it!  Seriously! It was crazy.  Rob was wearing a brown button down shirt, jeans and those famous shoes that he has that match Kristen's.  Kristen was wearing capri length leggings, a olive green long top and gorgeous heels.  Taylor was the most dressed up with a suit jacket and pants, dress shoes.  Side note - Taylor's dad was in the audience.  Trying to keep a low profile on the show, but they did get him to talk to us before the show, and he has the same voice as Taylor!

Here are some things to look forward to when you see the show:
- the video of Rob visiting those houses last night was freaking hilarious.  The one house, they took forever to answer the door, and when the finally did, Rob was like, "I was about to break into your house".   At the second house, Rob rang the doorbell, and a dog started barking.  So Rob is like, "oooh, they have a  dog" and then he kinda woofed at the dog.  SOOOO CUTE!!!!  The best part was watching Rob watch the videos because he is like cracking up at himself, but you can tell he's kinda embarrassed too.
- they also did one in LA where Taylor surprised a sorority of girls and they all are getting to go the Eclipse premiere!
- Oprah asked THE question about what is going on between Rob and Kristen.  You knew she would.  They just keep coming up with newer and better ways to completely avoid answering that question.  Today Rob's response was, "Kristen is pregnant!"  LOL  Then Kristen said, "But he's carrying it"  She said something like do you really think these hips could handle giving birth or something like that....I can't remember exactly what she said, but something goofy like that, and then of course that was it.  They never answered the question.
- Rob mentioned that he was getting ready to film Water for Elephants, and me and like one other person were like "woohoo!".  Me and that other person must have been the only 2 that have read it I guess.  LOL
- One girls stood up and talked about how much she admired Kristen, and while she was talking, we are right behind her!!!!  I don't know how well you will be able to see us, but look for the pink shirt (me) and the green shirt (Victoria).  Then Kristen called her up on the stage and gave her the ring she wore, I think she said in Twilight.

THE BEST MOMENT!  Kassie and I had been kind of daring each other to yell Rob when it was quiet during the breaks.  Then finally, at the last break, Kassie, being the brave woman that she is, yelled "Rob!" and he looked at us, so we started waving like idiots, and he smiled and waved back!!!!!  We just about died right there and then.  The a few minutes later, when they were leaving, the went past us and Victoria called Taylor and he looked and smiled.

Upon leaving, Oprah told us that we would be getting Bella's ring!  So we all got a certificate to send in for Bella's Engagement Ring!  Then there were some ladies outside passing out Eclipse posters and Burger king crowns!  Sweet!

Kassie, Kristen and Victoria....If you guys remember more details, add them in the comments, because I know I'm forgetting stuff in my tired haze.

I know we took some little videos and have more pictures, but I have to go to bed, so I will post now. Enjoy!!!!

Seeing Eclipse and Rob - All Within 24 Hours!!!!! O....M.....E!!!!!! Part 1

I am still completely overwhelmed right now.  And sleep deprived....I feel like I have a hangover!  But I promised details, so here we go.  Let me just say right now, that I am going to include spoilers for both Eclipse (but you guys all read the book, so really, you know what happens) and for the Oprah show.

I'll start with Eclipse last night.

Big thanks to Victoria for the pictures.  Not being allowed to have any kind of electronic device is kind of a pain because if you have something on you, then you have to check it, and then pick it up after the movie or show.  So thanks to Victoria for keeping her camera to take pics, even though she had to check it.

Kristen, Victoria, Kassie and me arrived at the theater pretty early.  The theater didn't even know where we were supposed to line up or anything.  So we went to eat in the theaters lounge, which was really nice!
Of course as soon as we ordered some food, we hear that people are starting to line up.  We scarfed our food down, prayed that Rob wasn't lurking around somewhere to see us scarf, and then headed down to the line.  We were like the 3rd group in line.  Yay!!!!
Oh yeah!!!!  We are totally in the right place.  The marquee actually said Eclipse at first, but I think they changed it to T.S.3 because of crashers.
Finally we got to the Oprah table to get our wristbands and popcorn coupons.
Oh the fun you can  have with coupons and wristbands!  LOL!
We  had to take all these pictures of our coupons because when you turn them in for the actual popcorn and drink, you don't get them back. :(

Once we got into the actual theater, we had decent seats and then spent the next hour waiting impatiently for Eclipse to begin and speculating whether or not Rob, Kristen and Taylor would show up for the screening.  How could we have even dreamed that at that moment Rob was ringing doorbells in Naperville and other suburbs!!! (More on that later in my Oprah post!)

Okay, are you ready for Eclipse?????
I absolutely, positively loved Eclipse more than New Moon and even more than Twilight.  It was that good!  Yeah, there were a few moments where you could tell that they hadn't quite finished, but all in all amazing.  At one point, 2 of the wolves were still in cartoon form....to be filled in later, but that was really the only obvious sign that it was a work in progress.

Rob was gorgeous in Eclipse.  He is much happier, less angsty.  There were a lot of really really close up shots of his face....*sigh*, but Kassie pointed out that you could kinda see the make-up more.  He wardrobe was hotter and more casual....I really hated that suit in New Moon.
His eyes eyes look gold in this pic, but I am sure they were black with thirst in this part of the movie.

Kristen was really great.  I thought she was less twitchy.  The wig had it's good moments and bad moments.  If she kinda had her hair swooped to the side off her forehead, it looked natural, but when it was parted down the middle, it looked very wiggy.

Taylor....is it possible that his abs got bigger, better and tighter?  Holy hotness Batman!!!  I'm not team Jacob, but man did Taylor look good.  I think you guys will love his one liners, a little preview for Breaking Dawn.  The tension between Jacob and Edward is really really there, and brings out some great lines from both Taylor and Rob!

The Cullens - Rosalie, Alice, and Esme looked much better, and very bad ass in the fight scene.  Emmett looked hot as usual and he had some great one liners, but Carlisles hair was a bit of a hair helmet.  I loved Jasper, despite his hideous hair, because that cute little Southern drawl made up for the bad hair and Jasper had a lot more to say in this movie!

Riley is totally hot, but Victoria is not.  I miss Rachelle.   Dallas Bryce-Howard doesn't quite pull of bad-ass as well as Rachelle.

Highlights from Eclipse

-First of all, Eclipse has way more LOL moments than either of the other 2 movies combined.
-Definitely some hot and heavy making out with Edward and Bella.  Me likey!
ooooh, Bella throwing Edward to the ground! Nice!

-Edward totally goes off on Jacob after he kisses Bella and she breaks her hand.  Like he is really pissed! Not the angry, but still very calm Edward in the book.  Really pissed off, yelling at Jacob, Edward. I ♥♥♥♥ angry Rob!  He's so freaking hot!

-The proposal included hot and heavy making out, the leg hitch (YEAH BABY!!!!!)  and a very, very, (like brings tears to your eyes!) emotional Edward asking Bella to marry him.  AWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!  It was really sweet.  The best line here is after Edward thwarts Bella's advances, and she's like saying, you don't want me, and Edward is like, "Bella, believe me, I WANT TO"  GAH! You just gotta love the way Rob delivers that line!!!!

-The tent scene is basically what it is in the book.  I don't think you'll be disappointed.  The only thing that is missing, which I would have loved to have in the movie, was Edward unzipping the sleeping bag and Jacob falling out on the cold floor of the tent.
-The fight scene is kick-ass!  I know it wasn't totally done and fine-tuned yet, but you will love it.  Everyone in the theater went "oooooh!" during the fight.
-Jasper telling Bella his backstory! You will love Jasper's accent, and he is cute as hell in the flashbacks.  Then after he comes back to the present, he and Alice share a cute little lovey dovey kissy moment.  :) Yay!

Okay, those are some of the highlights that are popping up in my weary, sleep-deprived brain.  I think I'm probably telling you way too much, and this post is already too long.  I've decided to make it a two-part post.  Part 2 will be about the Oprah show.

So if there is anything you want to ask me about Eclipse, feel free to ask in the comments.

♥Marie
