What got you into Twilight?
My daughter :)  My husband rented Twilight when it first came out for my daughter. He said it seemed like something she would like to see.  I refused to watch it, only because I hate when the media tells me whats in. I have been hearing so much about the Twilight Saga, I honestly thought it was a cable show series. My daughter got into the movie and rented the movie a few more times.  I finally sat down and watched the ending where James and Edward fight at the ballet studio. I thought that was pretty cool, so I made her start the movie again. Of course I got distracted and didn't see. She rented it another day and only seen the prom scene. That did it for me, I ended up starting the movie over and there is where my obsession began. Then her birthday came up and I purchased the deluxe DVD edition.  Few weeks later we were at the airport waiting for our flight out to California for our summer vacation, and I decided to go get reading material for the plane ride.  Of course, I got Twilight and was immediately hooked, As soon as I came back home, I read New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn all within 2 weeks!!!!

Do your family and friends know how deep your twi-obsession goes (be specific about what your obsession is, how do you hide it, or how do you advertise it)
Oh yea, everyone know. I always wear Twilight shirts, almost everyday :)  The cool thing is the people who I hang out with the most, are awesome.  I can talk Twilight and they don't make fun of me or roll their eyes.  My neighbors have seen me glued to Twilight books and know not to bother me.  My mom and her friends are now converted and ask to borrow my movies from time to time. I have other friends who like the movies but not obsessed like I am, and I am the go to girl if they have questions. So it is very easy for me to act and dress Twilighty :)  I am so lucky to have my daughter as what she calls herself "Twilight Freak" and my TwiMom friend who I hang out with and do Twilighty stuff together.

Are you team Edward, team Jacob, team (fill in the blank)? Why, is it because of the character or the person that plays them in the movie?
I am definitely Team Edward!!!!!!!!! Edward is so perfect! He is gorgeous, and oh such a gentleman. He knows how to treat a lady, he knows what exactly to say. Imagine such a man to exist!!! Where his life would just revolve around me, my every breath.  I can just melt thinking about it, lol.

Which Twilight book is your favorite and why?
It's really hard for me to say. My favorites are Eclipse and Breaking Dawn.  I love Eclipse because of the Quileute history and of course my Jasper's story. I love how there was so much action in Eclipse book. When I read the book I already knew that the movie was going to have awesome battle scenes. I also love Breaking Dawn, I am actually rereading it now. Stephanie Meyer rocks. I just love the honeymoon, pregnancy, the birth, and the covens!!!

If you read fanfic and your willing to admit it which is your favorite story?
Honestly, I started to read fanfic, but didn't get far. I can't sit and read off of a screen for a long time. I need the real deal to be in my hands and turn the actual pages. Sometimes I sit back and wonder what my fellow TwiMoms are talking about. Oh well, the fanpics will do.


Which person would you most likely still be into if they were not involved in Twilight; explain why.
None, before Twilight I was not a celebrity follower. I just watched a movie because it seemed pretty cool and that was it.  I never went to a movie just because so and so was in it. 

If you ever met your favorite Twilight star how would you react? What would you do or say.
I already met a few, Peter Facinelli (1ce), Michael Welch (2ce), Bronson Pelleteir (2ce), Kiowa Gordon (1ce), Alex Meraz (1ce) they were awesome. For some reason with Bronson Pelletier I was standing there in shock. Nothing came out, I just stood in front of him frozen like a dork (and I am not even Team Wolf Pack!). But my dream would be to meet Robert Pattinson!!!! I don't know what I will say, well that is if I don't stand there frozen like a dork!!! I have to start rehearsing. I hope I don't squee and scare him away.

If you were to replace any person in Twilight who would you replace them with and why?

Oh! I so would want to replace Kristen Stewart!! I want to be Edward's girl!!! I think I would faint at the prom scene!!! Just to have Edward's face that close to mine and tease me with a kiss on my neck instead of a bite.

How many times have you read the Twilight Saga? If you've read it multiple times, what makes you keep rereading? If you've only read it once, why haven't you reread it?????

I have read the Twilight 3 times, New Moon just 1ce (my least favorite), Eclipse 3 times, and Breaking Dawn 3 times, going on 4.

What is your most precious item in your Twilight collection and why? (share pics if possible)

My most precious item!! That is sooo hard to say!!! We have soo many, there is no way we can choose!!!!

What is the craziest Twilight related thing you've done? (include pics if possible)

When my TwiMom friend and I decided to go look for Robert Pattinson when he went to the Oprah Show, we left at 4a.m!!!!! I slept only 2hours that night, I was soo excited. Can't believe we stood outside that long, but I am glad we did. We met alot of wonderful TwilightMoms there who are now my friends.

What is your favorite song from the Twilight Saga and why?
WITH YOU IN MY HEAD!!!!! The training scene in Eclipse!!! I just love Jasper!!!! I have that song on replay when I am getting ready to go out to pump me up. I also have that song on replay while I clean to give me energy :)  Oh on our family vacation this summer we would have With You In My Head on replay during our mini road trips up/down the mountains. (sometimes we would be driving in the mountains for 3-4hours!!) My husband did not mind, he said as long as we are enjoying our vacation and we are happy :)

Has Twilight taken over your life? Explain.
Taken over my life? I wouldn't say taken over my life, but I find a way to make everyday Twilighty. There is always something Twilighty going on in my life. If there is something going on that is Twilight related, believe me I am there!!!! Plus, I carry around a Pocket Edward, whenever there is a cool what seems to be Twilighty moment, I take a pic :)

Tell us anything else Twilighty about yourself that you would like to share.
I am getting Twilight related tattoos next year.  Alot of people who don't understand would probably react negatively. What people don't know is how Twilight is part of my life now. My daughter and I have have always been super close, but Twilight gave us a special bond.  These past few years have been awesome for us, including my husband, brother and parents.  The tatoo is a representation of these past few years and the coming years of our Twilighty adventures.  The crazy stuff my daughter and I have done because of Twilight. I LOVE IT!! again Thank You Stephanie Meyer for everything

What got you into Twilight?

I belong to a bookclub and one of the girls brought the books of the Twilight saga along one night, talking about how she stayed up all night reading and couldn’t get enough. I had heard of it but didn’t have any desires to read it before then. Then another friend, also in the bookclub, called me after reading Twilight in a matter of hours and urged me to read too, so she could have someone to talk to about it all. That was in July 2009 and the rest is history…

Do your family and friends know how deep your twi-obsession goes (be specific about what your obsession is, how do you hide it, or how do you advertise it)

No way. Only one person, my BFF SparklyJul, knows the full extent of the madness. My family and friends know that I’m a fan of the saga, they know I have the books and the DVDs, but no, they have absolutely no idea about all the rest. My obsession these days is mostly based around blogs, Robp0rn, twitter and fanfic, I get twitchy palms if it’s been longer than a few hours since I’ve checked online. Especially twitter! And having an iPhone really helps keep an eye on things. The first thing I do in the morning and the last thing I do at night is check for updates on my phone. Can you tell I’m single?

A re you team Edward, team Jacob, team (fill in the blank)? Why, is it because of the character or the person that plays them in the movie?

Team Edward, 100%. Always have been, always will be. I have no time for TeenWolf, sorry. Hmmm, hard to say why. Of course I absolutely adore the character, but I knew Rob played Edward before I read anything so I have always pictured him as the Edward in my head. Now that I’ve read so much fanfic, I find it a little tricky to go back to canon Edward but I will always have allegiance to the vamps.

Which Twilight book is your favourite and why?

That’s a really hard question and I’ve had debates with people about this before. I love Twilight, Eclipse and the first part of Breaking Dawn… here’s my reasoning. Twilight is the original, it drew us all in, it portrayed the Cullens in this mysterious light, we wanted to get to know more, especially about Edward. I got to know Bella and wasn’t too annoyed with her. New Moon annoyed me, to be honest. Probably a large part of that was the Jacob-focus, I wanted to give Bella a big slap, but also for Edward being such a douche thinking they could live without each other. Eclipse was awesome, the reunion, the drama with the newborns… and Breaking Dawn, well, I didn’t love the whole baby thing (I can’t even type that ridiculous name) but I loved the wedding, the island etc. I thought the ending was… ok. It neither thrilled or disappointed me, and I felt it left off at a good place with the whole happily ever after stuff.

If you read fanfic and your willing to admit it which is your favourite story?

Hells yeah I read fanfic. So much so that I can’t tell you when I last read an actual book (apart from Twilight). I have way too many favourites and will leave some out, but here are highlights: Master of the Universe; Emancipation Proclamation; Wide Awake; Misapprehension of Bella Swan; Clipped Wings and Inked Armour; The List; The University of Edward Masen; Osa Bella. I could go on and on… and probably will in a future blog post! Before my twilight-specific Facebook account got deactivated (long story) I asked my ‘friends’ to name their top 10 fanfics of all time and there was almost a comment war. That’s a really hard thing to do.

Which person would you most likely still be into if they were not involved in Twilight; explain why.

Rob. (natch). Because he is gorgeous. Not only his looks but his talent – acting, singing, guitar, piano, and generally being an all-round nice guy. Predictable, I know, but I went there. And I love his acting in other films, specifically Remember Me. Can’t wait for Water for Elephants to come out. That is the ONLY time I will ever be Team Jacob (Rob’s character’s name in WfE).

If you ever met your favourite Twilight star how would you react? What would you do or say.

I would possibly be lost for words, which, as you can see by the length of my answers, is very rare. I would do a total fan girl fucking SQUEE! And would be on an adrenaline high. For ever.

If you were to replace any person in Twilight who would you replace them with and why.

How about I stay in the middle-ground here and say I’d replace the hair. Bella, Rosalie and Jasper being the worst offenders. These are multi-million dollar movies here people, get some decent wig people please! Seriously though, the actors? I have no idea. As I mentioned, I knew who the leads were before I read the books so pictured B, E & J as Kirsten, Rob and Taylor. Although, now I think about it, Jacob is supposed to tower over everyone so Taylor could be subbed out for someone a little larger.

How many times have you read the Twilight Saga? If you've read it multiple times, what makes you keep rereading? If you've only read it once, why haven't you reread it?????

I have read the books three times and listened to the audiobooks once, although I’ve just rented them from the library again so that I can upload them to my laptop for another listen. I keep rereading because I want to relive the dream… although since I’ve discovered fanfic I would rather read new things that are still related (ooh and lemony, of course) rather than rehash old material. No doubt that I’ll reread again before Breaking Dawn comes out though, I tend to read before the movies are released. And, I can’t tell you how bad I want SM to finish Midnight Sun! Argh….

What is your most precious item in your Twilight collection and why? (share pics if possible)

That’s a hard one. I don’t have a lot of Twi-merch, I am more a fan of keeping things online. I try and keep my addiction on the DL as much as possible so although you’ll find the books, soundtrack CDs, DVDs, and ‘making of’ books at my house, that’s it. The one thing I do have is my Team Edward pen that SparklyJul brought me back from Australia. It lives in my desk drawer at work and is my only concession to Twilight in public. Electronically, however, I have a Robp0rn folder to envy and plenty of those shots rotate as my screensavers on both laptop and phone.



What is the craziest Twilight related think you've done? (include pics if possible)

You mean apart from start a blog? Well, I guess that would be going to the triple feature of Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse when Eclipse was released. Seven hours is a fucking long time to sit in a theatre! It was great though, there were eight of us there, although my true addiction status was well and truly tampered down for the night so as not to scare off the newbies. I have since seen it four more times and cannot wait for December 1^st when it’s released on DVD! I am also working on converting a friend to fanfic and blogs, she has just recently become a twi-fan and is coming over this week for a spot of twi-emersion. Fun times.

What is your favourite song from the Twilight Saga and why?

Wowsers. Another tough question. I generally like the Twilight and Eclipse soundtracks over New Moon, and I’d have to say ‘Supermassive Black Hole’ by Muse at the end of the day. The baseball scene is my favourite in Twilight and it’s predominantly because of that song. It also got me into Muse, who are fucking awesome! Also really like ‘Heavy in Your Arms’ by Florence + the Machine, however I do feel that ‘Dog Days are Over’ may have been a more appropriate choice for Eclipse!

Tell us your favourite quote from each book?

Twilight: About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was part of him — and I didn’t know how potent that part might be — that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him. I know this is really common and cheesy, but it really is the line of the saga for me. I heart Edward Cullen.

New Moon: They have a name for someone who smells the way Bella does to me. They call her my singer—because her blood sings for me. This really is such a beautiful line, the images I get from it. La Tua Cantante.

Eclipse: Isabella Swan? I promise to love you forever — every single day of forever. Will you marry me? Predictable? Probably. I’m a sucker for romance. And they did the proposal scene so well in the movie, I have YouTube-d it a billion times.

Breaking Dawn: Don't take too long, Mrs. Cullen. OK so this was a hard one to choose – probably because of the movies, BD is the bit I know least well, so it wasn’t immediately obvious where I’d go for my quote. I do feel extremely frustrated (in more ways than one) at the whole ‘fade to black’ scenario though!

Has Twilight taken over your life? Explain.

Pretty much, yeah. Certainly my home life, not so much elsewhere, however you know you’re a twilight addict when you relate everything back, when sayings slip out, when you hear songs that belong in the saga but are just innocently playing on the radio… need I go on. I found myself saying ‘It’s time, it’s time, it’s time!’ Alice-style at work the other week, my colleagues thought I was nuts. Being able to read fanfic and get twitter updates on your phone also dramatically increases the time spent in the twiverse when one should be doing other things!



Tell us anything else Twilighty about yourself that you would like to share.

Hmmm. That’s tricky – how about, I’d love to write some fanfic but am a little nervous to? I’ve been beta-ing SparklyJul’s story Baggage Claim (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6230465/1/) and it’s really given me a taste. I’m just waiting for some inspiration now…

-What got you into Twilight?
The year was 2008, I was pretty sure that I would never read anything about vampires or werewolves. Eww. It just was not my style. I was a fluffy, romance reader. Until one fateful day, a co-worker brought in Twilight. She was reading it to make sure it was OK for her 12 year old daughter to read. I was still anti-vampires. Two days later, she had a book that looked like Twilight, but it had this flower on the front...New Moon. Hmm. So, I asked her what it was and she said that it is the second book...and that there is a third one and a fourth one coming out the next month. I remember thinking that it had to be good for her to read the first one in a couple of days and be coming to the end of the second. I could tell that she was no longer reading these as a way of screening her 12 year olds reading material. There was something more. Fast forward a few weeks. I decided to pick up the book one day at Wal-Mart while I was grocery shopping. Four days later, I had read the entire saga and already started on Twilight for the second time. The rest is history.

-Do your family and friends know how deep your twi-obsession goes (be specific about what your obsession is, how do you hide it, or how do you advertise it)
Yes. I'm very open with my twi-obsession. My office is my little Twilight sanctuary. I have a gazillion posters, collector's items, dolls, life-size stand ups of Edward and Jacob. I throw big premiere parties for the movies. Everybody knows.  It's definitely not a secret.

-Are you team edward, team jacob, team (fill in the blank)? Why, is it because of the character or the person that plays them in the movie?

Short answer, Team Edward. Long answer, I have a soft spot for the wolf. There are moments while reading the books or watching the movies where I fall into that Bella role and I love Jacob. I'm Switzerland from time to time, but just like Bella...I choose him. It's always been him.  I'm Team Edward because of the character that Stephenie created...he's chivalrous, has a genuine love for Bella, he's dangerous, he's protective, loyal, selfless, and...well, he's perfect.  I have found a way to separate the character from the actor.  I love Rob for a whole new set of reasons.

-Which Twilight book is your favorite and why?
Eclipse. It's my favorite for many reasons. I love the action and excitement. I love that Edward is back and the world seems right again. I love the love story that unfolds for Edward and Bella. It's magical.

-If you read fanfic and your willing to admit it which is your favorite story?
I haven't been a fanfic reader, but I'm slowly getting into it. I just recently started reading 50 Shades. It's good...like good good.

-Which person would you most likely still be into if they were not involved in Twilight; explain why.
Duh. Rob "His Hottness" Pattinson. I love that boy.

-If you ever met your favorite Twilight star how would you react? What would you do or say.
I've met a few of the Twilight stars and I just tried to play it cool. I tried to make a personal connection of some sort...and say something witty or clever. I think my best interaction so far was with Michael Welch. He is just a genuine funny guy and he's so open with the fans. He offered me a drink of his Starbucks. I said no because I knew he would probably toss it out after I left. I mean, come on, who in the heck is just going to drink after some random fangirl?! I couldn't let him waste a good Starbucks.

So, I hope that if one day I'm lucky enough to meet Rob, I'll respond the same way. However, it could go south fast. I could potentially forget my name and start hyperventilating and the next thing I knew I could be waking up with a concussion. Yeah, it could totally go down like that. Hopefully, Trixie would be with me and she would remind me to breathe.

-If you were to replace any person in Twilight who would you replace them with and why.
I'm going to take the easy road and say that I would replace Bryce and bring back Rachelle. I always hate when stars of movies are replaced. Nothing personal, I just prefer the original.

-How many times have you read the Twilight Saga? If you've read it multiple times, what makes you keep rereading? If you've only read it once, why haven't you reread it?????
Too many to keep count. I re-read it because I love to live in those books. It's my favorite escape from reality.

- What is your most precious item in your Twilight collection and why? (share pics if possible)
For Christmas 2008, my husband bought me this.  

I drew the arrows to show you where the autographs are.  It's a crap picture with my iPhone, so it's hard to see KStew's (it's in her hair).  They're a lot more clear in person.

My poor husband.  He had no idea that he was creating a monster...a Twilight Monster.

Oh, and my magazines.  I LOVE them.  I think my GQ and Vanity Fair are my favorites.

-What is the craziest Twilight related thing you've done? (include pics if possible)
I've got a tattoo.  It's on my rib area on my left side...closest to my heart.  Cheesy.  I know.

And I flew to Atlanta for the Twilight Convention earlier this year. That's not really crazy, but it sure was fun! I'm planning on going again in November to the Dallas Twilight Convention. If you get a chance, you should go!!

The truth is that I would be willing to do just about anything for the sake of Twilight.  I'm limited at times due to the fact that I'm married, I'm a mom, and I work a full-time job, but I still manage to push the envelope.  You know how Emily is the "wolf girl", Bella is the "vampire girl"...I'm the "crazy Twilight girl".

-What is your favorite song from the Twilight Saga and why?
Only one?! Well, I really love so many, so it's hard to choose. Monsters from the Twilight Soundtrack immediately makes me think of Twilight. I just have to hear the first few bars and I'm there. However, most fresh on my mind is Chop and Change from the Eclipse Soundtrack. I just dig that song. It's totally my style. I love it!

Twilight Junkie Tuesday Featuring.....Cat!

What got you into Twilight?
You know, the funny thing is it all stems back to my mother-in-law. I think if my FIL would let her, she'd just make her bed out of a gazillion books. One day, back in January of '09 I walk into her living room and see Twilight sitting on the couch. I pick it up and say "hmm yeah know, I've been curious to read this." Up til that point I only had heard people say they had read it. I hadn't even seen previews for the movie (I live in a closet, what can I say). She told me to take it and read it and tell her if it was worth it. Two weeks later and all the books read....well you know the rest.

Everyone knows my life is Twilight. Even my 8 year old autistic son is Team Rosalie and is sure to let everyone know his mama is Team Edward. I absolutely adore the books and in turn I'm a fan of the movies. Even though parts of the movies make me squirm, I love them because the cast and crew loves the books. They are invested (and not just financially). I love this entire franchise. I absolutely do NOT hide it. In fact, I have a "Twilight Junkie" decal on the back of my car!

Are you team edward, team jacob, team (fill in the blank)? Why, is it because of the character or the person that plays them in the movie?
I am Team Edward loud and proud! I was Team E when I read the books and I continue to be Team Edward (and Team Rob) through the movies. The main reason I was sold on Edward was his absolute unconditional love. He would sacrifice his own happiness for Bella. The first time I read that he held Bella while she cried over Jacob....well, that sold me right there. And the fact that Rob plays him is just the bonus prize ;)

Which Twilight book is your favorite and why?
Short answer for this. Breaking Dawn because I get everything I wanted in the end. ha!

If you read fanfic and your willing to admit it which is your favorite story?
I do, and Emancipation Proclamation is my favorite with a close second of The Blessing and The Curse. CHECK THEM OUT!

Which person would you most likely still be into if they were not involved in Twilight; explain why.
A lot of chicks will hate me for this, but I love Kristen Stewart. Once I saw her in The Runaways, it just reaffirmed my love for her as an underdog (although I don't believe she is). She took that Joan Jett performance and whooped it's ass.

If you ever met your favorite Twilight star how would you react? What would you do or say.
You know, I've gone through this in my head so many times. If I met Rob, I would be respectful, but I also would give him my phone number and tell him the next time he was in Wisconsin to call me up for some beers and brats! I just hope that it would really turn out that way and not me joking on my own spit or something graceful like that.

If you were to replace any person in Twilight who would you replace them with and why.
This is an unfair question due to the fact that I love every single actor in this franchise. But I'm going to find a loop hole. Bryce as Victoria. Sorry Bryce, you are a great actress, but you aren't Rachelle!

How many times have you read the Twilight Saga? If you've read it multiple times, what makes you keep rereading? If you've only read it once, why haven't you reread it?????
I am on my 7th "revamp". Currently in the midst of New Moon. I re-read it because I always find something new. And I still have the same strong emotions as I did when I read it for the first time. It's the only book(s) that has ever had a permanent spot next to my bed.


What is your most precious item in your Twilight collection and why? (share pics if possible)
As you can see, I have a special place for my Twilight collection and I love all the "stuff" I have, but my most cherished is that big poster board between the Rob posters. It is slowly growing. That board holds all the gifts and cards all my twi-sisters have given and/or made for me and it means so much! My son even drew a picture of the Cullens so I added it as well. I love that board!

What is the craziest Twilight related thing you've done? (include pics if possible)
I really wish I had a "craziest" story, but let me tell you I would do pretty much anything to win a trip to the Breaking Dawn set! For the Eclipse midnight premiere I painted my car up with car markers (see one of the pics Twilight Eclipse or Bust!) Also, I'm traveling from Milwaukee to Nashville JUST to be with the rest of my Twi-sisters that I've met on twilightmoms next March for the Twilight convention!

What is your favorite song from the Twilight Saga and why?
Again, UNFAIR! I love those soundtracks! If I had to pick ONE song, it would be "Hearing Damage" by Thom Yorke. The eeryness of the song and the scenes that went a long with it play constantly in my head when I hear it.

Has Twilight taken over your life? Explain.
Well, it prompted me to do something I've hated doing all my life. Write. I started a blog finally this year called The Daily Twimes. I truly try to keep it updated daily and try to keep it snarky. Besides the blog, everyone I come in contact to I usually end up talking about Twilight and talking them INTO reading it. I've met some true friends from all around the world because of it. It's taken over my craft room (see picture) and even inspired some of my jewelry pieces and art. Twilight is in my daily life. Some may say it's a superficial interest, but it has also lead me to donating my time and money to some great organizations like Alex's Lemonade Stand to help fight childhood cancer.

Tell us anything else Twilighty about yourself that you would like to share.
I usually wouldn't admit this, but when I'm shopping for clothing or putting together outfits, I'm usually in twi-mode. So many things in my life are reflected even sub-consciously! I love Twilight and I love this fandom! I'm so glad I found twilight junkies anon!
